Born and raised in Texas, I definitely grew up the Texas way! My grandparents owned one of the first and largest dairy farms in San Antonio and we had a small family farm outside the Hill Country. Farm life was challenging in many ways, but I loved growing up on the farm, learning the life lessons of hard work and dedication. At a young age I enjoyed building our family farmhouse with my father. He used to let me run the electrical wiring across the open trusses from one end of the house to the other; my mother did not like that at all! Looking back, I think my father is why I fell in love with construction!

I took that love for construction even further! I decided to attend Texas State University where I received a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with minors in Art & Design and Architecture. I also took Interior Design Classes at the Fuji Studio in Italy. What an experience!! I didn’t know a soul – just hopped on a plane, flew to Rhome, traveled to Florence, and finally made my way to the flat I had rented for the semester. It was definitely an adventure, but adventure of a lifetime for this small-town girl.

Furthering my abilities, I became a Licensed and Registered Interior Designer in the State of Texas, Professional Member of the of the American Society of Interior Designers, and NCIDQ Certified. I am honored and blessed to have had many amazing mentors along the way, learning valuable lessons and skills from each one of them. One thing my 18 years of experience in high-end and luxury residential construction has taught me, is your design team makes all the difference.
